Bob Newhart’s version was “Friends, Romans, countryman…I’ve got something I want to tell you….” It does lose something that way, doesn’t it? John Wayne would say, “Pilgrims! Listen up and listen tight!”
My choice would be to do the whole thing in pig Latin.
