Jenny D asked:
I have this speech to make for summer school that requires you to memorize at least 40 words of a speech or a quote from a movie, book, commercial, something a famous person said etc. It just can’t be from a song or poetry. It can be crazy, funny, or interesting, but i don’t really want a serious or boring quote. Please help, THANKS!

if you’re in summer school at college this is a good one “You have four years to be irresponsible here. Relax. Work is for people with jobs. You’ll never remember class time, but you’ll remember time you wasted hanging out with your friends. So, stay out late. Go out on a Tuesday with your friends when you have a paper due Wednesday. Spend money you don’t have. Drink ’til sunrise. The work never ends, but college does”- Tom Petty

I shall share some that have been with me through the years…
“Complacency is the Refuge of Those who have lost the Dream” - unknown
“I never let my schooling get in the way of my education” - Mark Twain, author
Check out the website below for more good stuff… Hope that helps!

My sister told this to me.
I don’t know if you can use this, because it is a little serious, but it’s a good lesson.
“There comes a point in your life when you realize who matters, who always has, and who never will. So don’t worry about the people in your past. There’s a reason why they didn’t make it into your future.”
